Mt Rowe

Time for me to knock off this Belknap Range Peak badge. I have had 1 left for a while. Today is the day. The boys and I headed over to Gilford Elementary School and hiked up the Mt Rowe Trail for summit #12. The trail is a mix of some steeper areas and some more moderate areas. We saw our first wildlife while hiking. A deer jumped across the path in front of us. Scared the beejeebies out of me to be honest, but it was gone as fast as it appeared. Mt Rowe summit itself is a communications tower, but just before you reach that point is a beautiful area that overlooks the ski trails of Gunstock and the lake beyond that. We bagged the peak, took our summit pictures and headed back to the overlook area for our snack. The boys also now have 4 peaks towards their total. Another successful day in the Belknaps.
