Parked at the camp entrance on Bents Road careful to not block the gate. Took the Sentinel Mountain Trail to the ledges overlooking Dan Hole Pond. Beautiful views. Continued on the Sentinel Connector Trail which was very leafy with no obvious path at times. Gratefully it was very well marked! I was surprised to see a shelter along the trail, that was a first for me. I'm guessing it belongs to Camp Merrowvista which is down the mountain. I continued onto the Canaan Mountain Trail which was also very leafy and would be at times difficult to navigate without the abundance of blazes. I was surprised with another shelter! Here I turned onto Mt Flagg Trail which became a mental game as the trail climbs steadily through a very rocky area. The trail finally comes out with some amazing views, but the true summit of Mt Flagg is just a bit further along, so make sure you keep going! Definitely worth the effort. I'm becoming more confident in my solo hiking!
